Steve Ferguson grew up in Virginia, where he started playing music at an early age.  His family was a big influence in his musical development.  His mother had been a singer in Washington D.C. nightclubs, and his uncle was a big band leader in the 1940's.

Steve had lessons in piano, classical guitar, and French horn, but it wasn’t until High School that he found his passion and he has not stopped playing.  He was in several bands in Central Virginia before enlisting in the Military (82nd Airborne Div.), where he put together a band and play for local events in Fayetteville North Carolina.  Steve was a founding member of "Swiftkick", a popular D.C.-based band that played weddings and corporate events. 

As an acoustical artist, Steve played in many venues in northern Virginia, specializing in wineries, hotels and restaurants.
